We’re excited to announce that Katherine Buzecky, Director of Scientific Services at Fluid Air, will be speaking at this year’s TIDES USA 2025—the industry’s premier event for oligonucleotide and peptide therapeutics. Her presentation, titled “Scalable Drying of Thermosensitive TIDES in Solvents Using Electrostatic Drying (ESD),” will take place on Wednesday, May 21 at 1:10 PM.
In her talk, Katherine will highlight how Electrostatic Drying (ESD) offers a transformative approach to drying thermosensitive biologics such as peptides and oligonucleotides. ESD enables a continuous drying process in both solvent and aqueous systems, regardless of solids content. This innovative technique produces powder particles at production scale—without the need for pre-process evaporation or post-process particle size reduction.
Katherine will explore how ESD preserves therapeutic activity and purity, while delivering powders with low residual solvents and the desired particle characteristics for downstream applications.
